Why corrugated steel

Corrugated steel pipe acts as a flexible conduit: as it deflects slightly under load it brings the side fill into play and distributes the forces. That is why it withstands both high embankments and live loads from highway, railway and airport traffic, even under shallow cover.

All structures are hot-dip galvanised to SANS 121 / ISO 1461. Special coatings are available for severely corrosive conditions.

Structure types

Supplied in a wide range of shapes, sizes and thicknesses. We obtain Armco load tables for your project.

MP68 · notch nestable pipe

Two half sections clipped together, for jobs that do not need a fully bolted pipe. Thicknesses from 1.6 to 3.5 mm.

MP100 · bolted nestable pipe

Bolted pipe in half sections that nest together for transport.

MP200 Multiplate

Deep-profile plates for large pipes, arches, horseshoe arches and underpasses.

Super-Span

High and low profile arches, pear and ellipse shapes with thrust beams, for larger spans.

Charcoal kilns

Bolted corrugated steel kilns that withstand over 600 °C, are assembled without skilled labour and can be relocated.

Void formers and sheathing

Void formers and pile casings, and sheathing for post-tensioning tendons.
